Assessment for Mentoring Programs Integrated into a Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative
This TCAM tool outlines a process for Safe Schools/Healthy Students mentoring programs to assess implementation and identify priorities for building program capacity. Using this instrument, mentoring program staff, their CMT and community partners can address four key tasks:
- assessing where the mentoring program is located on the path to successful implementation and sustainability
- identifying priority areas for mentoring program staff to address
- pinpointing resources for addressing identified needs
- considering how the mentoring program fits within the larger context of community programs and services
The planning worksheet included will help you develop a plan for building program and staff capacity by guiding you through identifying your needs and next steps.
