Assessment for Mentoring Programs Integrated into a Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative

This TCAM tool outlines a process for Safe Schools/Healthy Students mentoring programs to assess implementation and identify priorities for building program capacity. Using this instrument, mentoring program staff, their CMT and community partners can address four key tasks:

• assessing where the mentoring program is located on the path to successful implementation and sustainability
• identifying priority areas for mentoring program staff to address
• pinpointing resources for addressing identified needs
• considering how the mentoring program fits within the larger context of community programs and services
